A huge THANK YOU to the Stadium Drive PTA for bringing Komara Outdoors to our students on Thursday! What an unforgettable experience full of learning, curiosity, and excitement.
Students met reptiles from around the world, discovered that bearded dragons have three eyes, pet 'Lego' the rescued tortoise, and absolutely lost it when 'Mac' the snake made his grand entrance—the gym was buzzing! 🐍
We’re so grateful to the PTA for supporting experiences that spark wonder, learning, and smiles for our students. This one will be talked about for a long time!

More than 200 fifth graders at Boardman Center Intermediate School had an out-of-this-world experience connecting with Boardman alum and NASA structural engineer Nick Mastramico during two virtual learning sessions!

Students loved learning about the Artemis mission—including the fact that four astronauts will spend 10 days in a spacecraft about the size of a minivan 😲. Nick shared how the rocket is designed, the many safety checks before launch, and what it’s like working behind the scenes on NASA’s next trip to the Moon.

Nick also told students he knew he wanted to work for NASA when he was in 6th grade—and that he truly loves his job today at Marshall Space Flight Center.

His message to students: Dream big, discover what you enjoy, and lean into what you do well. 🌟
You never know where those dreams might take you!
